CLEMSON (USA, Feb 10): Trayvon Bromell flew over the 60m in 6.42 World lead, PB, and 6th in all-time lists, following 6.56 in heats and 6.46 WL in semis at Tiger Paw Invitational. Marcellus Moore was second in 6.56 PB and U20 Muhd Azeem Fahmi fifth in 6.62 NR for Malaysia, Nigeria’s Favour Ashe clocked 6.53 in semis and did not start in the final. Quick times over the 400m, Elija Godwin was the fastest in 45.63, Auhmad Robinson won in another heat with 45.65 over Jonathan Jones of Barbados 45.78, and Emmanuel Bynum also won his heat in 45.67 PB. World leader Masai Russell clocked 7.94 (and 7.92 in heats) at the 60m hurdles, Giano Roberts won the men’s hurdles in 7.62 PB ahead of Cameron Murray 7.62 and Great Britain’s Omotade Ojora 7.66 (but clocked 7.53 PB in semis). Joella Lloyd from Antigua&Barbuda won the 60m in 7.17, while Jacious Sears clocked 7.12 PB in the semis. Cameron Crump also got big PB 821 in the long jump and won over Johnny Brackins 797, Jan’Taijah Jones won the women’s 400m in 51.89 and Jermaisha Arnold got the same time in another heat, Portugal’s Decio Andrade got NR in the weight throw with 22.48. photo by #KevinMorris
