This is Week Six, Day four of the eight-week Winter Training Block from RunBlogRun.

Today is a hill day.

Hill workouts are a great way to build endurance, strength, and speed!

Many athletes use hills in their training. I just watched a video of the Very Nice Track Club using tempo, reps, and hills in the same workout,

pretty impressive.

Our workout today; warm-up slowly, 30 minutes fartlek, ten minutes jogging, five times 3 minutes hard, 3 minutes easy, then, 8 times 250m hill charge, walk down, and fifteen minutes of moderate running, slow cool-down.
